Busy Christmas

Managed to get some Christmas shopping done. Mainly I got stuff for the people at work.

Good thing I there isn' t a big Christmas bash this year.

Will be going to Church with my man and my ma and then it's off to dinner. After that we will head for Holy Family to meet Ada and the other Brenda for midnight mass.

Tomorrow will be another long day. We gotta go to grandpa's place for brunch and rush home to rest and then it's off to Ada's for some yuletide celebrations.

Last Meal

in Oz.

Sigh.

I am SOOOOO depressed. Since I only got two days of leave instead of the seven days I asked for I have to catch my flight home today.

This really SUCKS!

I told my man when I found out about my leave situation that he should stay on in Oz without me. Since he managed to get his leave. No point having both of us suffer and cutting short the holiday.

BUT...

Now I regret lor. Take flight all by myself. And since the gang were still on the houseboat on the Murray River they called a cab for me and I went to the airport ALONE. *SOB*

My man was so sweet. When the cab arrived only he, Melissa and Ellias walked me to it and when he gave me that final hug he started to tear. I was quite surprised. I hugged him and told him not to be upset that we'd only be apart for a few days and he just reached down and hugged me tight again.

When I turned to face Melissa and Ell I realised they were as surprised as I was. I explained to them that this was the first time we'd ever be in different countries ever since we started dating.

My poor guy. To think he's taking it worse than I am.

Morrison's

We found our way to Morrison's winerie today for lunch. Fantastic food and wine man! And so cheap, six bottles of wine for AUD27.50.

And we had a visitor at our table during lunch.

Dinner was equally fantastic. We had lovely roket and raspberry salad with oven roasted thinly sliced potatoes (salted and peppered) and baked half tomatoes with balsamic vinegar and to top it all off juicy, tender steaks and delicious sausages.
I am stuffed.
Am off to play buzz on Ell's playstation.

Target Twin Gone

Due to some hiccup with our admin department my dear target twin had to go home today. She was so depressed. Poor dear. After bidding her farewell the rest of us set off for Echuca to board the houseboat we'd rented to explore the Murray River. So exciting. We stopped along the way for a bite to eat.

On our way to echuca we passed by Bendigo.
And we also had to cross from Victoria to New South Wales.

And then it was a hop, skip and a jump to Echuca where we first cast eyes upon this baby.

Talk about gorgeous. It has five bedrooms with queen size beds and each room has it's own loo and shower stall, lovely leather sofa in the front along with a dining room table and chairs for ten people and a fully equiped kitchen with two fridges, a grill, stove and oven. On the top we have a jacuzzi and outdoor dining area with a super, fantastic high tech BBQ/grille thingy. I was in heaven and when I saw the other houseboat I was greatly relieved.

This was one of the other houseboats. It looks so sad.

The Big Day

Woke up at five am today. I still can't believe we all got up at five am. Just to get hair and make up done.

It sure ain't easy being a bridesmaid.

The make up artist arrived at 5.30am and started her magic. The hair stylist arrived at 6.30am and breakfast came an hour later.

Mish ( the bride) was so sweet. She woke up to accompany us even though she was the last one who would get make up done. It was fun just having our make up done by a professional and just doing girly things.

The groom and groomsmen were so damn lucky. Didn't get out of bed till 8.30am.

When all of us had finished having our make up and hair done the flowers arrived at 11am followed by the phoyographer and videographer shortly after.

So we all had to pose in our PJs for them then hurry off to change. After which we had to pretend to help the Mish get into her gorgeous wedding dress. All four of us. Just for the sake of having pictures taken of us doing our bridesmaid duties. But it was fun cuz we got to poke and prod at Mish when the photographer wasn't looking. *grinz*

After what seemed to be an eternity it came time for us to hop into the limo that Mish and Ell had rented and drive to the Rippenly estate where the wedding ceremony was taking place. Once we arrived we saw the rest of the bridal party and quickly got ready to walk down the aisle. My man look so dashing. (Ok, I'll stop gushing now.)

I was a gorgeous day for an outdoor garden wedding. They had a stage with a canopy and it was by a lovely lake. Thank God it didn't rain. It was sunny with lovely cool breeze. The canopy was a bit small though and I ended up with my entire right arm getting a slight tan.

After the lovely ceremony the happy couple took photos with family and friends that and then we (the entire bridal party) were whisked away by the photographers for photo shoot. We went to Monash Uni where Mish and Ell first met. By this time we were all starving so we decided to drop by at Mcdonald's for a bite to eat. You can imagine the looks we got from the staff and patrons alike.

After the meal we rushed to the National Gallery of Victoria (dinner venue) and had more photos taken. By this time we were bordering on exhaustion. Finallty it came time to rest in the green room.

Dinner was fantastic. The centre pieces were gorgeous, the hall they had choosen for the dinner had a stain glass ceiling, the band was excellent.
